Hayley Orrantia, the American performer, songwriter and actress. A lot of people recognize her from her character in the role of Erica Goldberg on the popular comedy television series The Goldbergs.' But, she is to be primarily as a musician. She maintains that music is the first thing that interests her. It's something she was experimenting at since she was 9 years old. She began training in music professionally when she was twelve. At the age of 13 She began to write her own songs. Her first cover album was released fourteen years later. From then on she's never been back. Orrantia is a native of America with Hispanic roots. She is a native of Hispanic roots even though she only spoke English as a child and her whole life was in the United States. To keep her heritage alive she's learning Spanish. Orrantia was picked to perform for The X Factor's first season during the summer of 2011. Orrantia got 4 "yeses" from the judges at the Seattle live auditions after having been selected from her YouTube entry. The first time she was auditioning for soloist, she and three female vocalists were placed together for the remaining auditions during "Hollywood Week". They were eliminated in the 5th week in the Live program.
