Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American writer and actress, most famous for her role as Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in 1960s. In the 1950s, she started her career as an actress on stage in Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. After that, she acted on Broadway in various productions until 1957 in which Li'l abner was huge at the National Theater. She released her album It's too late for Tina in the same year. Louise's first foray in Hollywood was in the role of Griselda as Griselda in the film God's Small Acre, which was a 1958 film. The film received widespread applause. Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the year category. During this time she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her instructor. Her most memorable performance came with the year 1964, when she enrolled with CBS to portray Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise kept juggling her acting career between Broadway as well as Hollywood playing more serious roles, as opposed to her perception of being a glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and Helen Magnus, but in recent years, she has gained recognition as a director on several popular TV shows like Supernatural. Her family relocated from Essex to Toronto, where she spent growing up and in adolescence. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 for the role, and she has settled down to Toronto since then.
